New kitchen on a budget. Existing kitchen was built-out in early 1990’s with popcorn ceilings, inset florescent lighting, builder cabinets, and a built out soffit reducing the kitchen ceiling height.

We started with removing the soffit, then the popcorn ceiling finish. Once the ceiling was resurfaced we we moved on to the cabinets, a few required replacement and customization to account for moving the microwave to allow for a custom built stove hood add-on. Then we wrapped the island in a shaker style frame-out.

A custom walnut highlighted desk and wine cabinet was added to a open area next to the stairs.

We then finished with refacing the fireplace, adding a mantle, legs, and new tile that wrapped around the fireplace inset.

Total cost of the project was about $11,000
